During his career, Denny Cherette has been responsible for the strategic planning, construction, and acquisition of more than 4,000 Class A multifamily apartment units and student housing beds. In each project he served as managing partner and held a meaningful equity position. Some projects began with site assemblage and rezoning of vacant land.  Others were value-add opportunities for existing communities that benefited from improved facilities and operations.

Denny has always held to four core principles in establishing a decision to develop or acquire any real estate investment: Site location, design and structural integrity, quality and durability of income stream, and appropriate leverage. These principles are especially important in the competitive environment found in large and mid-scale Class A multifamily communities.
