During his career, Denny Cherette has been responsible for the strategic planning, construction, and acquisition of more than 4,000 Class A multifamily apartment units and student housing beds. In each project he served as managing partner and held a meaningful equity position. Some projects began with site assemblage and rezoning of vacant land.  Others were value-add opportunities for existing communities that benefited from improved facilities and operations.

Denny has always held to four core principles in establishing a decision to develop or acquire any real estate investment: Site location, design and structural integrity, quality and durability of income stream, and appropriate leverage. These principles are especially important in the competitive environment found in large and mid-scale Class A multifamily communities.

Cherette Group remains focused on these principles as well as extensive amenities, professional management, and interactive relationship with residents that reduces turnover and increases referrals. These principles and practices enhance the ownership experience and are advantageous to the long term value of the asset when disposition occurs.
